HOUSTON, Aug 12, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Crown Castle International Corp. (NYSE: CCI) announced that David L. Ivy has resigned his position on the Board of Directors effective August 9, 2002. Mr. Ivy served in a variety of senior executive positions with Crown Castle, including as Vice-Chairman - Global Mergers and Acquisitions from April 2000 to September 2000 and as a director since June 1997. The resignation of Mr. Ivy is for personal reasons and unrelated to the resignation of Ted B. Miller, Jr. from the Board of Directors. John P. Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Crown Castle stated, "We appreciate the significant contributions that Mr. Ivy made during the Company's formative stage. We do not contemplate any other resignations from the Board of Directors."
