Crown Castle International Strengthens Business Development Team

Houston, TX – December 15, 1999 – Ted B. Miller, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Crown Castle International Corp. (CCIC) announced that Michael G. Ramke has been named Vice President Business Development in the United States and Philip M. Kelley has been named Vice President Business Development internationally.

"New business development is critical to the expansion of our business, and these two young men have been instrumental in continuing growth of Crown Castle International. We are pleased to have them play a greater role in the company as we advance into the future," commented Miller.

Michael G. Ramke has served as Vice President since April 1998 and previously held the position of Vice President Finance with primary responsibility for negotiation, due diligence, closing and integration. He has been involved with every major transaction of the company, including the initial asset acquisition that formed the company, the first major international tower deal (BBC), and the first RBOC carrier transaction (Bell Atlantic). Ramke joined the company in February 1996 as a financial analyst. He was previously associated with KPMG as Supervising Senior, Assurance Services. Born and raised in Houston, Ramke is a CPA and holds a BBA from Texas A&M University.

Philip M. Kelley has been with Crown Castle since April of 1997 and has served as Vice President since March of 1999. Kelley’s primary responsibility has been on the valuations, negotiations, due diligence, closing and transition of acquisitions. In his new role, he will have the primary responsibility for overseeing the valuations and integration of all international transactions. Prior to joining the company, Kelley was an asset manager with Archon Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs of New York. A native of Massachusetts, Kelley graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Economics.
